Re: ADs in Blackberry Playbook

"having trouble" implies that you are actually writing code but it's not working.  What API were you trying to use, that you were having trouble with?

Re: ADs in Blackberry Playbook

Well Jrab just said that Blackberry ADs do not work in the Playbook yet. Which makes sense because i am coding in Flex and the code given by Blackberry was in javascript.

Any updates concerning ads?

It's possible to add AdMob-ads via a StageWebView[1] but any ideas if there are native Adobe AIR-APIs to display ads?

Re: ADs in Blackberry Playbook

HI Guys,

I implemented this method into a recent andriod app I created...

http://www.webkitchen.be/2011/05/17/displaying-ads-in-your-mobile-air-application/

All was find for about two weeks, untill today when I logged into my admob account to find my campaign had been removed.

No email, no explanation as to why from admob.... and the 89cent I made... gone! Would of been rather anoyed if it was a few hundred! the cheecky buggers!

Air, if its built using flash or flex needs some advertisment functionality!

Re: ADs in Blackberry Playbook

Is there a way to find out why they removed it? Did RIM request them to?

Re: ADs in Blackberry Playbook

Sorry guys,

Must of been a server glitch/bug... I have my $0.89 back... yay. But it did honestly say for the last 2/3 hours I had no advertisment campaigns running.

Still Im dubious of the above method I used. Ive seen forum posts where admob just cancel peoples accounts with no reason or warning.

Which kind of puts you off using their advertisment program for any apps you think are going to be popular.

...One day you might have a a few hundred dollars in the tank... next day "zip"...

Its actually an android app, just one I quickly put together using flash, so I could learn the "ropes" as it were!

I wanted to learn about mob advertisment / uploading apps ect. so I created "googley eyes" which you can find on the android store.

Will start developing stuff for the playbook if I think its going to make me anything!
