I am developing an app in Playbook and need to set an alarm. But i can not find an appropriate class anywhere on how to do that. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks

Re: Alarm Class

"Set an alarm" could mean many different things, including triggering a sound after some interval, waking up a process at a given wall-clock time, generating a user notification that some deadline has passed, and so on.

What do you really want here?

Re: Alarm Class

Use a timer ( http://blogs.adobe.com/pdehaan/2006/07/using_the_timer_class_in_actio.html ) and check the conditions on which your alarm is based on.

if they are met: fire the alarm (do the things you want to happen).

Re: Alarm Class

To play sound, look at the Sound class after the Timer is triggered.
