Analytics for Playbook app created with Adobe Air

I have a Playbook app created with Adobe Air.

I'd like to track pages, events and etc for my app using 3rd party library like Google analytics.

I found gaforflash (https://developers.google.com/analytics/devguides/collection/other/flashTrackingIntro) but it seems that it only supports flash contents embedded in a web page not for mobile app.

Do you know if there are analytics available for Playbook apps created by Adobe Air?

Thanks,

Alex

Re: Analytics for Playbook app created with Adobe Air

There was talk by RIM a couple of years ago to provide this to PlayBook apps (use, clicks, etc), but not much has been heard since. There is a service for BB10, so we can expect that to migrate to the PlayBook after BB10 is brought to the device.

https://developer.blackberry.com/devzone/service/platform_analytics.html

(not too certain if this has been updated to BB10 yet; it appears not).

Hi jtegen,

Thanks for your reply.

However, Analytics Service you mentioned seems to be java package. I need a library to use with action script for PlayBook app wirtten by Adobe Flex.

Do you know anything for it?

Thanks,

Alex

That probably wont be coming any day soon. RIMs priority is to BB10 (NDK, Cascades and WebWorks). At best, when it is available for NDK, you can create an ANE to bridge to AS3. It will probably never be available for Flex unless via an ANE.

Is there anyone who has chance to use App Analytics ( http://www.appanalyticshq.com )?

I'm trying to check it out but I'm not allowed to register because the site is under maintenance at this moment.

It sounds to me that App Analytics is a solution for PlayBook app created with Adobe Flex.

If someone has experience to use the App Analytics, please let me know if the App Analytics is good for analytics for PlayBook.

Thanks,

Alex
