Re: Application not installed correctly

@thesmileman ok thanx Smiley Happy

@renaun yes ive done everything exactly as tutorial goes.

Here i found another developer having same problem as me, but there is no fix yet :/

http://supportforums.blackberry.com/t5/Tablet-OS-SDK-for-Adobe-AIR/Trying-to-use-the-new-0-9-4-SDK-c...

Wierd, ive now tried a lots of thing and now it doesnt seem that this specific error is the problem.

now i get:

1061: Call to a possibly undefined method getAirWindow through a reference with static type qnx.display:IowWindow.

Call to a possibly undefined method getAirWindow through a reference with static type qnx.display:IowWindow.

the interesting part is that when i do

var io:IowWindow = new IowWindow();

then i cant see in code hint  that io has any method called getAirWindow()

This is really wierdSmiley Frustrated

Re: Application not installed correctly

It not showing up in code hinting doesn't mean its not there. It seems like a SDK/Simulator mix match, can you provide a simple .fla that reproduces the error and I'll try it on my comp.

Re: Application not installed correctly

Hey,

Ive pasted the example code into new FLA which ive set up exactly as my project.

And when running my application, i get same errors as ive mentioned earlier...

ive put it up on public dropbox: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/669330/Temptest.zip

Hopefully you see same errors and or find the problem Smiley Happy

Thank you so much!

Off topic:

Re: Application not installed correctly

Have you aready registered with the Vendor Portal?  If not, you better get in gear for that since that can take a few days to get authorized.

After that, you just need content: App icon, app images, descriptions, signed BAR file, etc.  If you have not signed an app yet, you better get your keys (allow 1 day) and another day to actually figure out how to sign the completed BAR file.

Re: Application not installed correctly

I am a little baffled by your .fla file. I do not get your error but it also doesn't work as expected. I created a new .fla in CS5 targeted to AS3, all you need is the SWF, you can create the app.xml by hand (or copy it from another project and modify).

Here is what I changed and it throws the VerifyERror on the desktop (as expected) but works on teh simulator.

Re: Application not installed correctly

Yep i just got mail today that now im in the game. Ive registered and accepted so i will now try sign something just for test Smiley Happy

But i was thinking of if there where any restrictions, like my current project is probably not going to be finished till 31'st, im starting to think of alt. apps, specificly meaning P2P file transfer between Devices.

Files such images. Not to support piracy but to enable some simple files to be transferren easily between Andoid - iOS - BB -Desktop

@renaun

interesting.

It worked fine, and as you, i got the verifyerror.

But the interesting part is, if i need just a SWF, which i cant compile when adding logindialog in code.

(Using ex-code from here: http://www.blackberry.com/developers/docs/airapi/1.0.0/qnx/dialog/LoginDialog.html)

It needs IowWindow, which seems to use NativeWindow method, but simple Flash player 10 targeting wont compile with AIR classes.

Anyhow, i thank you so much for your help, but im giving up for a moment. Somehow ive managed to mess up pretty much all my SDK's.

Need to clean up all that mess ive made hehe.

Ill be back with more problems later Smiley Wink
