BB10 Invocation Error

I've reported this in other threads, but no one else seems to have encountered the problem, nor has BB confirmed that it is a known issue...

I switched back to FB 4.6 to eliminate the possibility that it was due to FB 4.7 weirdness.

Running on DevAlpha 10.9.10.35 - debug mode, Gold SDK:

app crashes after invoking BBM or the email composer or navigateToURL( "mailto:" ) with no console output.

the device log shows:

err: config: Failed to open file (/etc/system/config/qnxair_variant.conf): No such file or directory	(tid:1)

Process 35983557 (adl) terminated SIGSEGV code=1 fltno=11 ip=79a775a8(/base/air/runtimeSDK/Adobe AIR/Versions/1.0/libCore.so@isspace+0x434b) mapaddr=003775a8. ref=54484b54 bdslot=1

Re: BB10 Invocation Error

How are you invoking the applications?

Re: BB10 Invocation Error

its quite simple:

			var bytes:ByteArray = new ByteArray();
			{
				for each ( var share:Object in shared )
				{
					bytes.writeUTFBytes( share.url + "\n" );
				}
			}

			var request :InvokeRequest = new InvokeRequest();
			{
				request.target   = 'sys.bbm.sharehandler';
				request.action   = InvokeAction.SHARE;

				request.mimeType = "text/plain";
				request.data     = bytes;
			}
			InvokeManager.invokeManager.addEventListener( InvokeEvent.INVOKE, onInvoke );
			InvokeManager.invokeManager.addEventListener( ErrorEvent.ERROR, onInvokeError );

			InvokeManager.invokeManager.invoke( request );

 BBM screen is displayed showing a list of contacts, then select a contact and the conversation and new text is displayed.  After a few minutes, app exits silently.

But it has nothing to do with invocation - same result using "navigateToURL( 'mailto:' )"

Also, I've noticed that InvokeEvent.INVOKE fires even if I comment out the actual invoke( request ) ???

Re: BB10 Invocation Error

I use the same code and it works, except I don't use the listeners. Have you tried commenting out those lines and see if it still crashes?

Re: BB10 Invocation Error

no difference - as I said, it also happens using navigateToURL...

Re: BB10 Invocation Error

Try restarting the device?
