Re: BB10: Problems using Picker

Just a quick FYI, I compiled the example and it ran w/out errors on my Dev Alpha.

Re: BB10: Problems using Picker

This is driving me crazy now :-(

Unfortunately I have returned my Dev Alpha, hence can not try on device. But anyways it has to work in Author mode also.

I am using Flash CS5.5 and all other components used to work perfectly even in Flash CS5.5.

Are you using Flash CS5.5 or using Flash Builder?

Re: BB10: Problems using Picker

I'm using the command line tools for device targeted builds.

Re: BB10: Problems using Picker

What if you have to test it in Author mode rather than creating a build for Dev device?

By "Author" mode you mean a release build?  I built and ran it as a debug build in order to see any stack trace that was generated from the picker malfunctioning, but it seemed to work.

Re: BB10: Problems using Picker

When I compiled, it compiled successfuly but when I run the app and click on Picker, it throws the error I mentioned.

Re: BB10: Problems using Picker

Can you unzip your bar file and just confirm that the ANE got packaged with it correctly?

Re: BB10: Problems using Picker

Thanks a lot for following this up.

I am not creating bar file. When in Flash Professional CS5.5, we create AIR app and when run there, we can see the app working with other BB10 AIR components. But when I click on Picker, it throws the error and nothing is shown.

Re: BB10: Problems using Picker

Wait, so are you not running on the simulator, but running in adl?  I didn't think that was supposed to work, because an ANE is required for the UI components and I think the ANE doesn't have a desktop implementation.  I might be wrong but I thought that was the case.

Re: BB10: Problems using Picker

I am scared but that should not be the case.

When using in Flash CS5, we rename the ANE to SWC and use that. Also all other BB10 AIR components are working fine, it is giving the problem only to this Picker component.

Initially I am trying this in standalone file with the same code as available online. But now I am trying to add this Picker in my project but it is not even compiling, in earlier case, it was atleast compiling.

I am badly stuck :-(
