BB10 QNXStageWebView does not show anything

Hi all!

I'm adapting one of my apps from Playbook to BB10 and I've found that QNXStageWebView does not show anything, it seems to be working, events are dispatched, but there is no content displayed.

Is it working fine on BB10?

Is there any important change? I've reviewed the api and it seems to be the same.

Don't you have any problem with QNXStageWebView?

Re: BB10 QNXStageWebView does not show anything

I had a similar issue on my recent app builds... and posted a similar question a few days ago: http://supportforums.blackberry.com/t5/Adobe-AIR-Development/Can-t-get-QNXStageWebView-to-render-on-...

I believe the consensus was that the version of AIR I was pointing to was 3.3 and the current SDK will only work with 3.1.

I say "believe" because I have yet to get mine to point to the 3.1 version and successfully build.  I'll let you know if my attempts at changing the version work out.

Re: BB10 QNXStageWebView does not show anything

Thankyou for your answer Steve.

I had alrady seen your post, but it does not apply to my case.

I'm using 3.1 and it works fine on Playbook, this is only happening on BB10, at least in my case.

Here there is a test case, it shows a blank screen on BB10 simulator and google on Playbook.

package
{
    import flash.display.Sprite;
    import flash.display.StageAlign;
    import flash.display.StageScaleMode;
    import flash.events.Event;
    import flash.geom.Rectangle;

    import qnx.events.WebViewEvent;
    import qnx.media.QNXStageWebView;

    public class TestWeb extends Sprite
    {
        private var wk:QNXStageWebView;
        public function TestWeb()
        {
            super();

            // support autoOrients
            stage.align = StageAlign.TOP_LEFT;
            stage.scaleMode = StageScaleMode.NO_SCALE;

            this.addEventListener(Event.ADDED_TO_STAGE, init);
        }

        protected function init(e:Event):void{
            wk=new QNXStageWebView("test");
            wk.stage=this.stage;
            wk.viewPort=new Rectangle(0, 0, stage.stageWidth, stage.stageHeight);
            wk.addEventListener(WebViewEvent.DOCUMENT_LOADED, docLoaded);
            wk.loadURL("http://google.es");
        }
        protected function docLoaded(e:WebViewEvent):void{
            trace("DOC LOADED "+e.toString());
        }
    }
}

Re: BB10 QNXStageWebView does not show anything

I tried your sample code... (modified a bit for more debug)... and yes I can confirm that the browser does not properly show the content. (at least on my end)

Re: BB10 QNXStageWebView does not show anything

yes working better on the newest OS.. (I say better because there is a scale "change" that I haven't diagnosed yet that is behaving differently than previously... (everything in my case is scaled up... e.g. feels zoomed in) )

but this may well be an issue with my code so I'm not calling this a bug... yet ;-)
