Re: Beta 2.0 bug? QNXSystemResource.GEOLOCATION not working

I said above I'd created a ticket to track "this", but that ticket actually refers only to the secondary issue of increased power consumption and the geolocation dying until restart.

I've now also ticketed the original issue for this thread as https://www.blackberry.com/jira/browse/TABLET-344 (titled "Beta 2.0.0.3778 does not respect requestResource(QNXSystemResource.GEOLOCATION) as 1.0.7 does").

Re: Beta 2.0 bug? QNXSystemResource.GEOLOCATION not working

This issue appears to be fixed in 2.0.1.358.

Re: Beta 2.0 bug? QNXSystemResource.GEOLOCATION not working

Unfortunately I can't confirm it. Two people, two different PB's updated to 2.0.1.358 - same result. No GPS updates received when a PB goes into stand-by.

Do I miss something?

My test app sets <inactivePowerMode>throttled</inactivePowerMode> in the bar-descriptor.xml and also does

QNXSystem.system.requestResource(QNXSystemResource.GEOLOCATION);

QNXSystem.system.requestResource(QNXSystemResource.NETWORKING);

in the App initialization.
