I signed up on:

http://developer.blackberry.com/offers/communityportathon

...which redirected me to...

http://www.blackberrydeveloperevents.com/events/webcast/registration/register.html?scoid=<number>

Used my first/last name + same email I used for my BlackBerry App World Vendor Account + selected no to get mail from third parties. Then I clicked submit (ENTER key didn't work).

What I'm wondering is if the registration actually worked? I didn't get any confirmation message. I just got redirected to:

http://www.blackberrydeveloperevents.com/events/home.html

1) Am I registered? Don't want to be a bother but the form wasn't very clear and I don't want to submit my app on the 11:th just to find out I wasn't registered after all.

I also registered a few days ago and did not get a confirmation email.  I just now re-did my registration and a confirmation email was sent immediately.

Re: BlackBerry 10 Community Port-A-Thon - Jan 11th

Seems like I got a weird email from support@virtualevents365.com with a strange invite.ics I've never seen before.

Guess I am to understand that this mail means I am registered.

Yes, that sounds like the registration email.

Re: BlackBerry 10 Community Port-A-Thon - Jan 11th

Just finished porting five apps (well seven, 5 + 2 lite versions but those doesn't count in this port-a-thon).

What happens now? Do I need to do anything or will stuff happen by itself?

How long does it take to get the 500 USD sent to my PayPal account? Guess you have to approve the apps first if course, and check that they are already up and approved on AppStore, but I read somewhere that someone still hadn't been paid for the previous Port-A-Thon that you had. An estimate would be nice.

Assuming you registered for the port-a-thon stuff will happen by itself.  :smileyhappy:

Payout details will be coming later.

Fabulous! Though a time estimate would be greatly appreciated. Will I have the payment in max 60 days? Less? More? I just dislike waiting for something without an estimate, soon it starts feeling like waiting for something that never comes which will in turn make me feel like a fool. I understand that it can be hard to give details but some kind of week count should be possible to give. That would at least be courteous to the participants.

Edit: I read in the Port-A-Thon chat that mails regarding the rewards will go out now on Tuesday (15:th Jan 2013 ), in case anyone that sees this is wondering too. They will also announce the winner of special rewards at http://devblog.blackberry.com/

Over 15 thousand apps was added to BlackBerry in total during these 36 hours, or well 39 hours (they extended the deadline towards the end).

Re: BlackBerry 10 Community Port-A-Thon - Jan 11th

I still haven't received any payments for the five unique apps I've submitted during this Port-A-Thon.

Blackberry support has not responded to any of my attempts to contact them.

In addition 3 out of 7 apps are STILL in Pending Review status, with no word given as to why.

I am very disappointed and at the moment feel like I have been fooled by Research In Motion.

Re: BlackBerry 10 Community Port-A-Thon - Jan 11th

No adminstrator that want to rush to help me? No reassurance that I will be paid? How about a explanation of why things are as bad as they seem? Or a contact/support email that you know someone will actually answer from?

Seriously, I feel very badly treated.

As a vendor you will be treated like a business, and will be paid on a business like schedule.

Have some patience...
