Re: BlackBerry Signing Tool for Tablet OS Now Live!

The csjpin is the pin you entered into the signing registration form.

Re: BlackBerry Signing Tool for Tablet OS Now Live!

I managed to create an app for Playbook, which got approved.

I have no previous experience with app development whatsoever.

Now I need to get it signed and I have already received a CSJ file.

What do I do with it now? Can anyone please help?

I am on a Mac.

Thanks

Re: BlackBerry Signing Tool for Tablet OS Now Live!

I'm on a Mac as well... so: I have added the .csj file from the email into the:

Research in Motion\ folder, and now includes:

  • client-xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx.csj
  • barsigner.csk
  • blackberry-tablet-sdk.conf
Following steps 2 in Configure application signing from the command line
I translated the command to suit my case as:
Computer:bin me$ "/Applications/Adobe Flash Builder Burrito/sdks/blackberry-tablet-sdk-0.9.3/bin/"blackberry-signer -register -csjpin ******* -cskpass ****** client-RDK-notsureifmatter.csj
then got back:
barsigner error: unable to open CSJ file: client-RDK-notsureifmatter.csj

Re: BlackBerry Signing Tool for Tablet OS Now Live!

Mac is Unix.

Try:

./client-RDK-notsureifmatter.csj

Also, should the second quote be outside blackberry-signer?

Re: BlackBerry Signing Tool for Tablet OS Now Live!

Attempted:

"/Applications/Adobe Flash Builder Burrito/sdks/blackberry-tablet-sdk-0.9.3/bin/blackberry-signer" -register -csjpin ******** -cskpass ******** ./client-notsureifmatter.csj

barsigner error: unable to open CSJ file: ./client-notsureifmatter.csj

I also tried the quotes reaching up to the /bin"

Re: BlackBerry Signing Tool for Tablet OS Now Live!

Dumb question.

The file is in the /bin directory?

You are typing in the correct filename?

You do have access to read that file?

Re: BlackBerry Signing Tool for Tablet OS Now Live!

Yep, I mentioned above that:

I have added the .csj file from the email into the:

Research in Motion folder, and now includes:

  • client-xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx.csj
  • barsigner.csk
  • blackberry-tablet-sdk.conf
So now I moved the .csj file into the \bin
and...  Successfully registered with server.
thanks!

Next Obstacle...

I did all the steps except the last 2,

I added the files, in the \bin folder:

  • output_file.p12
  • myApp.air

Ask the RIM® Signing Authority to sign your BAR file.

blackberry-signer -verbose -cskpass ******** -keystore output_file.p12 -storepass ********* compiledfromFlex.bar RDK
