I have on my computer Windows8 Consumer Preview.
And try to install :
BlackBerryPlayBookSimulator-Installer-2.0.0-7971-W
and
BlackBerryTabletSDK-Air-Installer-2.0.0-Win-201202
1. Before install Java SE 7u3
Got Error message box:
Installer user interface mode not supported (Windows).
2. After install Java SE 7u3
got jdk from here : http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/down
Got error message box:

It's way way way too early to be using Win8 for development purposes. It's not even a beta or release candidate yet, just a demo. Much of the under-the-hood stuff is still missing or not functional. Use Win7.

I think it's bug in InstallAnywhere, i found similar situation in their forum

I have successfully do the installation by set the compatibility to Windows 7.
Right click the installation file, choose properties, compatibility tab. On "Run this program in compatibility made for", select Windows 7.

Right click on the exe file and properties. You will find compatibility.
click the run this program in compatible with choose the winxp or win7 and apply
now Run the program as usual and it will install

For a FYI, the compatibility mode works for Win 8 RTM w/ the WebWorks SDK as well. Thanks ravi-kyaliapps for the suggestion, it's one of those rare times the compatibility mode comes in handy *and* works!
