Hey Guys,
Flash Builder 4.7 is out as of today!
To the guys at RIM: Please update the SDK for FB4.7 integration! ![]()

Yep and it's a free upgrade for FB 4.5 or FB 4.6 uses.
Also new is Adobe Scout (formerly codenamed "Project Monocle"), which is a great tool for optimizing your app. Requires n updated AIR runtime version to be functional though, and unfortunately we don't have that on PB/BB10 yet :-(.
The Flash C++ compiler has been officially released too. This lets you compile C/C++ code to ABC bytecode which runs in the AIR virtual machine. Not as fast as an AIR Native Extension (ANE) but it has other advantages, such as easy & tight integration with AS3.

I'm writing a blog post about this now ![]()
Install instructions are now in the documentation. Still working through a few kinks in the docs. - https://developer.blackberry.com/air/documentation
Make sure to enable support for AIR 3.1 (I got hung up on this my first port from 4.6) - https://developer.blackberry.com/air/documentation
Cheers,
Dustin

I should note that as of 4.7 this is going to be the standard way to add BlackBerry support to Flash Builder.
Also we're going to try to smooth out the experience of having to add 3.1 support and add ANE's everytime.

Excellent news Dustin! I'm glad you guys are keeping up with releases at least in the IDE area.
I think there is something wrong in the instructions. The convention on 64-bit Windows is to install 32-bit apps into the "Program Files (x86)" folder. So the paths in steps 5 and 6 are the reversed.

Yes those would be the kinks in the docs ![]()
Step 5 - Correct x86 and x64 are reversed
Step 6 - Full install path for x64 Windows install is:
|
\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Flash Builder 4.7 (64 Bit)\sdks\4.6.0 |
x86
|
\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Flash Builder 4.7\sdks\4.6.0

yes, its great that RIM is supporting the new FB, but:
as usual, its impossible to find the download link for the new FB (not Premium)...
tried to request an upgrade of my current FB 4.6, but I can't even find the serial number: seems it only appears when installing...

Your serial number was e-mailed to you when you purchased Flash Builder.
