*Yeah*, there it is the "built in" signing functionality I was asking for.
But I was too optimistic. It's still far away from being a straight-forward process and it's not working for me either.
I followed all steps from the tutorial, but I end with an .air file instead of the desires .bar.
Everything seems fine (no errors at all) except the output format...
Do you guys have any ideas?

You did not pick the the right export wizard. FB 4.0.1 has 2 export commands - one for air files and one for bar files.

Wow! This is ridiculous. Had the exact same problem as you and I just figured out how this is supposed to be done and it goes contrary to the tutorial that BB posted.
What you have to do is go File>Export>Other and the under the folder "Flash Builder", select "Export BlackBerry Tablet OS Release Build..." and go from there.

I don't have any BB or Tablet OS entry in my "Flash Builder" folder. Only "Flash Builder project" and "Releasebuild".
@Elena: I have two options in the releasebuild dialog:

If you don't have this entry you don't have 0.9.4 version installed. 0.9.3 did not have this wizard.
Also check if this present in Project top level menu. You sure you are using 4.0.1 FB?
Do you have any other BB items showing?

If I click "Help" > "Product information" > "Installation details" (might be slightly different in English) I see that the following items are installed:

Did you see 2 export commands in the Project menu?

No, just the regular "Export releasebuild..." entry, which opens the old dialog (air / exe).
Reinstalling the SDK (as admin) didn't change anything either.
I hope this is not one of these "you have to use an US-english version of Flash Builder"-issues...

Weird. Last chance - use Reset perspective command and check anything changed regarding missing menu (I think you can get it from Window menu or by right clicking on perspetive icon).
