How to reset permission settings for an app after installing?

Hello

One of my customers just emailed me, and said she accidently unchecked (so denied) the 'Geolocation' permission when running the application for the first time.  She tried uninstalling and reinstalling the application, but she says the permissions screen is then bypassed.  Does anybody know how to reset the permission settings for an application on the Playbook?

cheers

Mark

Unfortunately I still don't have a tablet to verify this on, but looking at the Settings menu screenshots on the berryreview.com site, it appears the permissions can be managed under the Security tab.

Wow thanks Peter for being so helpful.  I'll reply again when I hear back from her.

Hard to provide support when you don't have the actual device yet!

@comantis, darn right about that.  I hadn't thought of it this way before, but we devs are going to be supporting users, offloading some of the work from RIM.  Would have been nice if they'd considered that aspect when decided how slowly to bleed these tablets out to us...

Re: How to reset permission settings for an app after installing?

Is there a way to reset the permission settings for an app in the simulator?

There is no 'Application Permission' in the simulator.

If I reinstall the App it doesn't show the permission dialog window anymore.

Re: How to reset permission settings for an app after installing?

@ericdev, try uninstall the app first, then reinstalling it. That *should* work, though I haven't tested it. If it does not work, it implies the permission settings are being stored separately from the app, which would strike me as a bit odd, and would also likely mean you have to reinstall the simulator to clear them out.

Re: How to reset permission settings for an app after installing?

@peter I tried that, but it didn't worked. I also changed the version number in my xml, but that didn't helped either.

I think reinstalling the simulator is the only solution.
