I just noticed that if you use <access> in your blackberry-tablet.xml file, the 2.0 beta will not process the restricted permission settings properly.

 

Switching back to <permission>, which is now undocumented (but not officially deprecated), makes it work fine.

 

Edit: er, silly me.  It's <action>, not <access>, and it works fine.
