Re: Is there is a way to capture event when virtual (on screen) keyboard showing?

It appears that those events don't always fire when the user manually activates and deactivates the keyboard.  Do the PPS events capture the keyboard state globally?

flash.events.SoftKeyboardEvent's are dispatching only in case of text input get focus. But what if we swipe from bottom left corner to show keyboard and then we need to asign focus to the input? Some oposite situation. In this case we havent any events. Would be good to have some general event at API which says to us that keyboard is showen or hidden.

An answer to myself :-)

A SoftKeyboardEvent object is dispatched by a TextField or InteractiveObject that has the needsSoftKeyboardproperty set to true.

Thats why we dont get it when swiping from bottom left to show keyboard...
