Has anyone else noticed that since 9.2/9.3 that spark lists and scrollers are more jittery in the emulator?
For some reason, when I drag to scroll within the emulator, it's quite fidgety, almost as though the frame rate of the application drops.
If, however, I click and quickly scroll up while letting go (ala flicking), it's quite smooth.
Anyone notice something similar while using spark controls?
Thanks in advance.

For what it is worth, the native QNX list is smooth and I would even go as far as smoother in 0.9.3.

Thanks. I'm thinking that it may be a problem with the emulator, because it worked great in the first version. Besides, I'm too far into the project to change all of my components to qnx-based controls.
Anyone have any idea of how close the performance quality of the emulator is to the actual device?
I suppose I'll just continue to optimize.
Thanks,

I am also experiencing this on the device. Is there a fix for this?

Ill second (or third) this. Spark lists in my app are not responding very well to touch inputs. A quick flick and it scrolls well but just a touch and short drag to move the list a short distance is very rough. This is all on device and not emulator
Id be interested in hearing any suggestions anyone comes up with.

Thanks guys for confirming the problem. We ended up deciding to wait until the final version of the product before determining if a workaround is needed.
I did, however, submit a bug with Adobe, which you guys should go over and comment on.
https://bugs.adobe.com/jira/browse/SDK-29670
You'll note that the jittery scrolling also applies to the scroller component.
Edit: Perhaps we should submit this as a bug to RIM?

The spark list performance is horrible on the playbook. I will comment on the bug u listed. The final buld of the flex spark list will have the bounce effect when you hit the end of the list. Like the qnx and iphone lists. Hopefully that will also have improved performance.

ill comment on it too but we should also submit one to rim

You guys should vote on it as well so as to get their attention. I'll go ahead and submit a bug to RIM as well.

I just tried the qnx list on the the actual PlayBook and the performance is about 100x better!!!! It makes such a big difference its insane! Now time to convert my spark list with itemrenders to a qnx list. This is not going to be fun...
