we're just excited about the tablet and want it to be a success haha... lets try one more thing... i want you to write a program or even one of you existing ones that get the verify error.. i want you to package that entire project (File > Export Flex Project) and send it over to me (I PM'ed you my email.. dont want spam bots getting a hold of it haha). Ill see if the configuration is different at all.

Odd. I just started to get this runtime error on an application that use to work just fine. It throws an exception on the dialog show() method. Nothing else has changed with my environment.
It is just an AlertDialog show some about informatin about the application. Guess I will just leave it out for now until we get an updated SDK and hopefull BB knows what is going on and can give some assurance that this will be resolved.

I have the same issue
In fact I just set a variable like this in my class...
private var ppsChannel:PPSChannel;
and I get the error
Could it be a problem with the swc ?
ps : I use FlashBuilder 4.0.1 on windows

just ran that same line on a mac and got the verify error. However i also re-ran the original dialogtest posted by quentin on my mac as well and ran the program without a problem. so that leads me to beleive you cannot explicitly create a PPSChannel object nor can you utitlize it in your programs. It's probably just a helper class that only RIM knows how to use and serves no purpose to third party developers. but with that said still bugs me that the dialogs use it and it returns a verify error for some users.

Same problem here (Mac, FB 4 Burrito), AlertDialog doesn't work.
VerifyError: Error #1014: Class qnx.pps::PPSChannel could not be found.

@JRab can you make a export project (fxp) of your working example ?
About the fact that the class can be exposed or not... If the class is public, it must be accessed.
This bug is really annoying...

thanks you JRab for posting that.
It seems that the Dialogs (Base, Label, Alert) throw Verify error when the app running as Desktop Air aplication but works fine in the simulator... weird
