NetworkManager missing in the SDK

I have found one very important package in the Documentation: qnx.net - but it is missing in the SDK which is available now ... I believe that this is some kind of a misunderstanding.

Re: NetworkManager missing in the SDK

this has happened before -- they prematurely document APIs that don't exist in the actual SDK. it's best to just assume its not available yet and wait for it to be official.

Re: NetworkManager missing in the SDK

It is in the QNXNetwork.ane which is included in the SDK. It is not added by default with the other libraries because Flash Builder does not support auto adding ANE files.

Re: NetworkManager missing in the SDK

When I simply try to test it, it throws an exception:

import qnx.net.NetworkManager;

trace("Net Info: " + NetworkManager.networkManager);

ReferenceError: Error #1065: Variable qnx.net::NetworkManager is not defined.

Re: NetworkManager missing in the SDK

I believe the error is caused because the NetworkManager ANE is not loaded into the
project properly.

The project has to have the NetworkManager.ane added to it (Preferences->Build
Path->Native Extensions) *and* checked to be added to the BAR file as well
(Preferences->ActionScript Build Packaging->BlackBerry->Native
Extensions). For the latter, you might have to expand the window to
actually see the checkbox for the ANE.

See if that solves your problem
