OS 1.0.5.2342 Released

BBTOS 1.0.5.2342 was released.  Guessing it was to fix the App World issue, but it is good to see that RIM can push out releases (even very minor ones) in less than a month.

Re: OS 1.0.5.2342 Released

RIM actually explained the update: http://blogs.blackberry.com/2011/06/important-blackberry-tablet-os-update-includes-fix-for-adobe-fla...

What I find interesting is that, based on Adobe's documents, it's only on Flash 10.3. Yet the update still has Flash 10.2.

Actually the Flash Player version is 10.1.94.182. Version 10.2 is only in the browser.

Re: OS 1.0.5.2342 Released

Is that the version returned by device or the version displayed in the About screen for the OS?

The Flash Player version show on the About screen is the browser version. Go to Adobe Flash Player in the PlayBook browser to see the version.

After the latest OS release flash.system.Capabilities.version is reporting Flash Player version 10.1.94.182 in my apps.

Re: OS 1.0.5.2342 Released

The basic difference is that between the "Flash Player" used in Adobe AIR and the browser version (plugin).

Each version of AIR comes with an embedded flash player version.  Once they update to the latest AIR we will have the latest flash player there as well.
