hey T55555,

Sorry for the confusion. i meant the Java Development forums on here:

http://supportforums.blackberry.com/t5/Java-Development/bd-p/java_dev

its not java development for the playbook (not available yet) but for the blackberry phones. that forum has been around since they made this community (i think).

Edit: Darn, beat to it by MShom by 15 seconds :smileyhappy:

He means the Java forums here for coding for Blackberry smartphones (navigation at the top of the page, click on BlackBerry Development, and the Java forums will be at the top).

If you're thinking about getting into Android keep in mind you can actually do that with ActionScript as well, through AIR for Android (one of the many reasons I love the flash authoring tools - lets me publish to Playbook, Android, iPhone, web, and standalone .exe). Of course, if you're already experienced with Java development it's probably better to go that route.

EDIT: The amount of times I've been beaten to the punch in these forums is a testament to how awesom they are :smileyhappy:

HAHA yeah, we've all been pretty involved in this Playbook stuff, I too have forgotten about some other projects I've been doing in other development platforms!
