Re: OT_PlayBook Apps_list

Too bad that we can't see the list of apps that have been approved but not yet posted for sale.  Mine is one of those, but within a week or so "Idea Catch" will shed its ugly skin and be let loose.  I hope that there aren't a bunch of folks stopping at the Approved step just to get their device.

Doubt I'll download the fart app, but using my PlayBook as a level might be useful.

Good job turtledev!

Nice. Good job turtle-dev.

btw. 167. Peg Solitaire  should be  "Peg Solitaire!"  ( with exclamation mark at the end as part of name )

Long history short:

I first search app world about "Peg Solitaire" name and found it already existed and used.

So, I decide use "Peg Solitaire!" ( with '!' ) to distinct. ( At that time, I did not know that RIM allows duplicate/same name )

When I finish my app and waiting approved, I start make a web page and show it ( via playbookdaily.com ).

Well, soon, couple days after showing it online ( and it is still not approved yet ), someone uses the same "Peg Solitaire!" name to create new BlackBerry Phone app.

So, after approve, my app name is no more unique.  :robotsad:

( oh well, it is good to know duplicate/same name is allowed, at least, company/vendor name cannot be duplicate and be the same.  :smileyhappy: )

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
only 300+ app ?  assum that at the end of 3/31 we double the number to 600+.
without count someone have multiple apps.
RIM only give away less than 1000 free PB ?
This number is much less than what I was guessing ...
But, I am very happy and proud that I am in that short list !
I have a few ideas:
1) Take that, quality control!
2) Something quick and dirty to get a free playbook
3) I was too lazy to make a real game, so here's tic-tac-toe
4) My other app is a fart button.
Anybody else making a tic-tac-toe game, or an alarm clock, or a flashlight app, or whatever is free to steal these for their own use. No royalties!
I'm a little surprised to see it that low as well but bear in mind that these are only apps that were either posted for sale or were posted on playbookdaily.com. I'm sure there's quite a lot of apps that don't meet either of those (especially since many people received the "do not post your app for sale" email, like myself).
