1) I'd like to make a button to show a location on a map (Google Maps?). Is it legal to simply form a URL in the app and launch the browser to show the location on the map? Has anyone gotten the Google Maps Flash API working for a PlayBook app?

2) Is there a way to launch the built in e-mail client?

3) Will there be inter-app communication? For example, I'd like to add the ability for my app to launch Skype (Once it's available for PlayBook of course). But will this be possible? Or are apps barred from any direct communication with one another?

There are likely several ways to launch other apps, as well as to communicate between apps.  Unfortunately, none of them have been clearly documented yet.

Two obvious ways, yet to be confirmed and clarified, are:

1. use navigateToURL() with various schemes, including http: as well as other ones (e.g. appworld:, maps:, etc).  No idea what ones will be available other than http/https.
2. use qnx.system.QNXApplication.qnxApplication.openFile() to launch various "default apps" for files with certain file extensions (e.g. .pdf).  Again, nothing documented yet, though you could check the supportedFileTypes on the simulator in case that helps.

There should also be some mechanisms built on the PPS (Persistent Publish/Subscribe) capabilities that are a key feature of QNX, but again nothing has been documented there.
