Hi everyone,
I downloaded the playbook SDK and got it installed into flash builder without a hitch. I even made an application. Here's the problem: when I run the application in the Flash debugger, it crashes since it can't access any of the native things that are needed to run the application. No problem, I thought I'd set up the simulator to test my app. My only issue is that I bought Parallels instead of VMWare. I tried setting up the vm in parallels, and once it supposedly installed it said that it couldn't find a boot image. Has anyone had any success creating the playbook virtual machine on their system in Parallels? I've looked for a solution, but haven't found one. If anyone knows, please let me know!

Hi arthurlockman,
We've received a lot of feedback regarding Parallels and a lot of asks for it. I've passed this off to the product team to try to get it implemented as soon as possible.
For now, you can develop using VMWare Player (if you're on windows), which is a free VM player.

Any chance VirtualBox can also be considered. Both Parallels and VMWare Fusion are not open source solutions for OSX.
Thanks

Hi pbhattacherjee, Has there been any progress or movement on this. I'd really like to try to do some development and get the simulator working, but mac and Parallels are my preferred options since my development tools are all installed on my Mac.
