Playbook simulator behind proxy

I am having issues with proxy settings being ignored by VMWare, it tries to connect directly and gets denied by the proxy.

Is there anything that has to be done to get it working from behind a proxy server?

Re: Playbook simulator behind proxy

Hello Dnepr,

Are you having issues in regards to deploynig your application on the PlayBook simulator or is your app installed on the simulator unable to connect to the internet?

Looking forward to your reply.

The app/simulator is not able to connect to the internet from behind a proxy.

Re: Playbook simulator behind proxy

Hello Dnepr,

When you launch the simulator, can you hit Ctrl+p -> Connection Settings and make sure that Windows Proxy Settings is selected. This is force the simulator to use your internet explorer settings to access the internet.

Looking forward to your reply.

Re: Playbook simulator behind proxy

I tried that on multiple machines and it was not working, proxy settings did not propagate to the simulator browser. The settings only applied to VMWare updates functionality, the simulator itself was not able to connect to internet.
