Witht he App Store on the iPhone/iPad apple places heavy restricitons on the types of applications that can be created, hence Cydia and the repositories that can be reached through jailbreaking your device. What types of restrictions are there on the blackberry app world? I know there can't be illegal content, system modifications, is there a list or reference that I can read?

There is on the agreement for all BB apps. Most are common sense for regular apps. No porn, no illegal activity, etc.

keep in mind that BlackBerry App World (eventually) isn't going to be the only legal, unhacked way to install an application on the PlayBook, even though it certainly will probably be the most common way for most vendors who will have to play by RIM's rules.
i can't recall the exact reference - it was stated during one of the webinars last year i believe?

Noah, I believe the answer to your question is covered fully in the App World Vendor Agreement.
