Sending attachments in email with navigateToURl

Hi Everybody.

I'm writing an application for the Playbook using the AIR SDK, that records some audio and I need to email the recorded file to someone. I've saw the 90 minute tutorial and found that it uses the navigateToUrl technique and a mailto: url handler. Anyway I didn't found anywhere how can I achieve these file attachment (could be a photo taken with the Playbook camera).

Anyone have any suggestion?

Thanks in advance

Sebastian

Re: Sending attachments in email with navigateToURl

hey sebastian,

currently there is no way to email using any native email applications in the device. the example you saw where it had the mailto: command, it was an example from an adroid phone. it was just showing how it easy it was to port and create your own flex mobile project for the playbook. we have to wait until we have such abilities to send emails out from the device until we can know how to do it. hope that clears things up. good luck!

Re: Sending attachments in email with navigateToURl

You could create a server script on your server that you could POST the file (upload) with other variable information (e.g. subject, TO, FROM) and then send the email from your server.  But as @jrab mentioned, nothing native.
