Re: how to display PDF content?

All previous comments in this thread are still applicable and true, other than the guesses that the new SDK (which was 0.9.2) might have support for it.

There will be PDF capability, but it's simply not available yet in the simulator, nor has any information whatsoever been published about it other than what you can read in this thread.  Sorry.

Re: how to display PDF content?

You can display it in the browser by using navigateToURL.  If it is a local file, then give the full path with "file://" in front of it.

Cool, I hadn't heard that yet.

[ Edited ]

I may have been premature with this.  This assumes that the browser has a PDF reader in it.  Simple test -- point it to a PDF file on the web.

Re: how to display PDF content?

It doesn't appear to work, either with a local file:// PDF or with http://samplepdf.com/sample.pdf

Re: how to display PDF content?

In the final release product you will probably be able to do this.  You can develop it in AIR to test and hope for the best that the final release will do tis properly.

Re: how to display PDF content?

@subhaMaz, if you're waiting for a clue, I suggest you read back in this thread.  As mentioned earlier, there is NO support yet in the simulator for viewing PDF files.
