Re: Splash Screens and "Standard RIM Device Screen Resolutions"

Does:

<splashScreens>
   <image>splash-1024x600.jpg</image>
   <image>splash-600x1024.jpg</image>
   <image>splash-1280x768.jpg</image>
   <image>splash-768x1280.jpg</image>
   <image>
      <text xml:lang="fr">splash-1024x600_fr.jpg</text>
   </image>
   <image>
      <text xml:lang="fr">splash-600x1024_fr.jpg</text>
   </image>
</splashScreens>

 Mean that this is the standard naming convention for file names or does the startup process look at each image and automatically determines which image to be used by its physical dimensions?

Re: Splash Screens and "Standard RIM Device Screen Resolutions"

My guess would be it automatically determines the size at compile time and serves up the appropriate image. I used (Where the 2 images are PlayBook size):

<splashScreens>
   	<image>splashH2.png</image>
   	<image>splashV2.png</image>
   	<image>splashH.png</image>
        <image>splashV.png</image>
</splashScreens>

 Which seemed to work fine on my Dev Alpha.
