Some good news about Flash and RIM from MWC2012.

It seems that RIM is still commited to use/adapt the Flash Player on its smartphones! (the idea is to be "different": I like it).

So I guess adapting AIR 3.2 on PlayBook may happen...

I'm agree. We need AIR 3.2 (and stage3D) on Playbook.
 

AIR applications worked really well on Playbook until AIR 3.1(if  compared on IOS and Android) and the Playbook could be the best choice for many uses (i.e. B2B apps).

But if stage3D won't be supported soon, I think a lot of developers will come back to IPad or Android (so RIM could risk to lose all the new developers involved in these last two months thanks to its new initiatives).

Adobe AIR has never been so powerful!!! So please Rim , think about it : )

The current Version of AIR (3.1) is good but can not compete with the performance of the native SDKs of each platform. I need to be very carefully with graphical effects, filters, tranparency etc. in AIR to keep a good performance.

Here's another reason to update AIR on PlayBook to 3.2:

At a recent conference I spoke to a few of developers for AIR on IOS. They actually use a  PlayBook to develop and test their app because the workflow is so much better. Then once things work the way they want they recompile for IOS.

Could be a new PR spin and a way to get more apps in App World.

RIM, this could be your chance to get very performant AIR-apps. Make use of Stage3d in the QNX-componets and AIR-apps will run like natives. You dont need to wait until someone learns Cascades in the future to get great performance. RIM, you are "flash loving", arent you?
