Re: Stage3D

Hey singmajesty,

Thianks for the info.  I'm going to chew on all of this stuff.

Just a heads up, your JS Charts explode on every browser on the Mac and my various tablets. The only thing I haven't tried, is my PC.

Yeah, I'm not sure why the JS Charts on his website are blowing up. I am seeing that here as well.

To make it easier to read (since the fail charts seem impossible to decipher), I read the source and was able to post the scores in a Gist:

Re: Stage3D

Another great tool that we miss because there's no Stage3D support for the Playbook/BB10:

FeathersUI - Powered by Starling

Light-weight, skinnable, and extensible UI components for mobile and desktop. Feathers puts it all together in one package — along with blazing fast GPU powered graphics (courtesy of Starling Framework) to create a smooth and responsive experience.

Cheers!

Re: Stage3D

That would be nice. Not certain if it will allow an app to be BB certified, but probably allowable and great for games.

Re: Stage3D

It would be awesome if someone developed a BB10 theme for it to once Stage3D is supported.

If someone doesn't beat me to it I'll definitely devote some of my spare time.

Re: Stage3D

Also to get games certified you can tie into things like BBM or Scoreloop. Neither of those ANE's exist for AIR yet but just wanted to throw out a few ideas :smileyhappy:

Re: Stage3D

Also, I discovered that the beta BlackBerry 10 SDK for Adobe AIR includes a full UI set for the BlackBerry 10 look and feel. Have any of you guys seen that before?

Re: Stage3D

Yes, I've been using the BB10 controls. They are very nice and the AIR SDK is pretty solid.

Re: Stage3D

But there is still AIR 3.1 in the latest dev alpha update :/

Haxe/NME is nice, but there is no way to make good apps without UI Components.

NME doesn't support Starling framework for C++ as a target platform, so we can't use Feathers UI.

An update for the runtime is on the roadmap https://developer.blackberry.com/air/downloads/roadmap/
