I'd be suprised if RIM doesn't show off PlayBook for the Superbowl to reach a massive audience and to increase general public awareness of PlayBook. ![]()

I think there are more appropriate forums for such non-development-related topics, including crackberry.com where the same thing has been discussed at length. It sounds like if you were to register there you'd find a like-minded audience for such talk.

I'm hoping they will atleast reveal the launch date. ![]()
Xoom is coming out the Feb 17th (rumored). HP Palm webos Topaz is coming out in March.
I'm sure RIM has strategic plans in place. ![]()

The Black Eyed Peas performed Dirty Bit during half time. I was hoping they would show the playbook like in their video.

The Xoom had a nice commercial.

Yeah, I didn't see a playbook commercial.

Sounds like the closest they got was the Chatter.com commercial, with will.i.am (or his Baby Pea version) holding a cartoon PlayBook.
Really a bit of a missed opportunity, with the whole "playbook"+football+BEPs+timing thing.

Indeed. Which makes me worried that the reason they didn't have one was because they're not going to hit March as a launch date, and it's going to come later. That's the only reason I can see for them not doing a commercial - they don't want to bring the hype that a Super Bowl commercial will create when they don't have a product ready for several months.
I hope I'm wrong.

That was disappointing ![]()
My assumption is RIM is very confident of the sales figures PlayBook can achieve even without advertising. ![]()
