Re: Tablet Icons

Using a vector program like Adobe Illustrator and saving the result as a PNG-28 file.  Makes nice clear icons with transparent backgrounds.

Re: Tablet Icons

Adobe illustrator sounds like a good idea

I think coding it is a tad to advanced for me

Re: Tablet Icons

There is also a lot of website where you can buy good looking icons in EPS format and then scale to meet your needs.  Have to weigh how much is your time worth in creating icons vs. just buying an icon set.

Yah, I'm not an artist, and am only half decent in photoshop so I found a free png file online and downsized to 86x86 for my first app.

I think with my second app I'm going to look into either getting my hands wet with AI or Inkscape so I can future proof the quality of my image.

Re: Tablet Icons

In fact, I have only 2 apps :smileywink:

For my other app, I am using Inkscape and www.openclipart.org

openclipart's images are public domain,

and Inkscape are "free" tools.

( download some svg images, edit/merge/mix whatever them to form your icon;

and since they are all svg, you can scale and export to any size png )

So, if you have limited budget maybe try that way too ...
