Test on the device

Hi,

My first app for the PlayBook is done. I've developed it using AIR and tested in the PlayBook Simulator.
Unfortunatelly I can't test it on the actual device because I don't have one. It's not on sale in my country yet.

Can someone please help me testing it on a PlayBook?

I have a .bar file signed with the debug token (~2mb). I can send it via email or upload on my server and send the link.
The test shouldn't take more than 5 minutes. Basically I need to know if the gestures are working and if the scores / ranking are getting saved correctly.

Thanks,
Bruno

Re: Test on the device

Can this even be done without the signed developer tokens in sync between the device and the developer's keys and the BB-tablet.xml file?

Re: Test on the device

Hmm, good question. I have a .bar file double signed (first by RIM, then by author).
I thought that would be enough. Isn't it?

Re: Test on the device

I personally cannot right now.  I have a deadline that I am burning late hours to get done.

[ Edited ]

I am installing it as we speak.  I will report back.  Is there anything specific you are looking for??

EDIT:: I take that back.  The CMD came back with "failure 500 BarFileUnsignedError".  Make sure it's signed correctly.

Re: Test on the device

Maybe I missed something then.

When I ran blackberry-signer I got the "bar signed" message.

Also if I unzip the .bar file I can see:
- AUTHOR.EC
- AUTHOR.SF
- PBDT.EC
- PBDT.SF

I'll read more about signing / testing on the device and try to understand what is happening.

Cheers,
Bruno
