The application name does not remain consistent when downloading the app and changes.

[ Edited ]

I got notification that my app is awaiting the following change:

- The application name Foobar does not remain consistent when downloading the app and changes to XYZ. Please change this name to match the application name.

I'm not sure what is going on here - I've searched my code for 'XYZ' and can't find any trace of it, so I'm not sure why this would be happening.  In the emulator the application is correctly named 'Foobar'.

Has anyone else had this issue?  I developed my app as a pure AIR application without QNX components, using Flash Builder 4.5.

The only naming is in the -app.xml file.  Could they mean the app name in Vendor Portal / App World?

can you copy and paste your -app.xml file using the [c] icon in the reply box?

I checked the vendor portal and the names all seem to be correct.  :/

Re: The application name does not remain consistent when downloading the app and changes.

hey,

the <name> tag seems to have spaces in it compared to the other places. do you think that could be it? also the name in app world, does it have spaces?

@zachberry: Did you check the other xml file?  I don't remember the name, something like "blackberry-tablet.xml"?

Re: The application name does not remain consistent when downloading the app and changes.

The name looks ok, but I would be more specific with your ID.  You have "MTGLifeCounter".  If another developers used the same ID, it will over write your app.  Best to use reverse DNS, like "com.zachberry.mtglifecounter".  Also, I'm surprised that the app compiled with <content> not set to your SWF filename (but maybe you're using something other than FB4.x).

Re: The application name does not remain consistent when downloading the app and changes.

@jrab.  I have app names with spaces, so that is probably OK.
