Validate input in AIR

Hi,

I want validate a text input using AIR. How can I?

In Cascades I can use:

validator: Validator {

                mode: ValidationMode.Immediate
                errorMessage: "Error message"

                onValidate: {
                    if (myTextField.text.length <= 10)
                        state = ValidationState.Valid;
                    else
                        state = ValidationState.Invalid;
                }
            }

Re: Validate input in AIR

on submit, just
if( myTextField.text.length <= 10 )
{
// warn user (e.g. toaster)
}
Please use plain text.

Re: Validate input in AIR

You can listen for the keyup event and place text next to the input. In other words, you will have to create your own control for that, but that should be pretty easy to do (30 minutes at most).
Please use plain text.
