Assuming there is video capturing capability coming built in with the PlayBook, what format will it be in?
Will MP4 or F4V be an option so as we can play the videos back in apps built from AIR?
Also, can we utilize the recording feature from within an app?
I know we can access the cameras and grab still frames but what about video recording?

hey dachflach,
im not sure on the format of the video output but in regards to the availablity of an API i would assume so. In many of the videoes the CEO has said that the current image software and video capture are all in AIR format. So theres a good chance the API will be made available to us along with the image capturing API's.

Ok, so I guess we cannot include any video capturing enabled apps for the first wave.
Too bad.
Well, without going to remote services ( FMS ).

Actually I expect we'll be able to, but we certainly have to wait for the next release of the SDK before we'll know much more.
The one thing we have been told fairly clearly is that you should use the webcam on your notebook/desktop machine and the regular AIR APIs for it for development, and those features "should" work the same (likely count on at least a bit of tweaking) on the PlayBook.
