Just a heads up here. My free Unit Converter app is currently available in AppWorld in a broken state. This is because the Test House happily approved a BROKEN release which I had already replaced with a non-broken one.
This is REALLY disturbing, to say the least.
I knew this release was broken which is why I updated it after I found out. Unlike the way they were working during the free PlayBook program they now don't go ahead and only approve the newest file I upload but instead they approved an older one with newer ones still pending.
RIM, please, PLEASE fix this. There's no way for a developer to remove a broken release when they find a problem after submitting. The only thing they can do at this point is upload a newer, fixed release.
This would work fine if the Test House would only look at the NEWEST release when they get to an app. The way it is now the whole process is broken.
Once again, I hope someone from RIM will read this and take immediate action.

I agree this is annoying.
I was almost put in the same position (having released a broken version accidentally). Luckily I was able to get App World to deny the broken release so only the fixed version went through.
Hopefully your latest release will get approvd quickly.

You can limit the damage by removing it from sale until RIM gets to it. Unfortunately, AppWorld makes it very obvious that RIM has no quality control whatsoever.

I had read your thread RottenOgre. And I PMed one of the mods in AppWorld forum. He was quite fast in getting one of my releases denied so they would focus on another updated release...
But, all of my new release updates are still waiting in the "New" state and "under Review".

Ok I pulled it out of AppWorld until they release the newest version.
But seriously, this whole process is thoroughly broken and needs fixing. This is damaging for both developers and RIM.

Just popped a message in the AppWorld support web form as well.
I'm terrified they're going to do the same thing to my other two apps. I had a small mess-up with locking of screen orientation earlier. If they approve the wrong releases for my 2 paid apps they'll both won't be locking the orientation right and I'll get crappy review remarks about it.
I just wish I could pull broken releases out before the Test House gets to them but ... I can't. There's no remove option.
Seriously concerned about this...
