Warning: Simulators fail to boot in VMWare Player 5.0

We've recently discovered that our BlackBerry PlayBook and BlackBerry 10 Dev Alpha simulators fail to boot in VMWare Player 5.0.  We are working a fixes as we speak.  In the mean time avoid this upgrade to continue using these simulators.

This issue has been resolved in the new BlackBerry 10 Dev Alpha simulator released last week.

I can not find a simulator for the Blackberry 10 Playbook in order to test SDK 3.0

SDK 3 is only available for BB10 devices. SDK 2 is for the PlayBook. SDK 3 for the PlayBook will be available around Feb 2013.

The next 2.1 update for the BlackBerry PlayBook simulators will include support for VMWare 5.0.  This is coming very soon.
