Hello,

Sorry if this is the wrong section.. But I recently signed up for the Developer Recognition program and since I have started threads, answered questions and my answers have been selected as the solution also. In front of my name a hammer-like icon is shown (I assume its because of my "Developer" status).

The recognition program page says that we earn "points" for everything we do. But where can I check how many points I have? Or for that matter, if I have anything at all?

I'm not sure which page you're looking at when you say "recognition program page", but in any case the direction now is apparently a new "BlackBerry Jam Rewards" program which you can read about here: https://bdsc.webapps.blackberry.com/devzone/jamcommunity/rewards

It hasn't launched quite yet.  I expect we'll hear something more about it at the BlackBerry 10 Jam Conference that will take place in just over a week in Orlando.

Yeah, I know its pretty old, but there are some recent replies too.. So I also went ahead and replied. Any idea what exactly that [thread] is?

The thread is more or less the older approach, but I'm sure it's not "harmful" to add your name to it. ;-)

Roughly speaking, now that you've done that, and got the little hammer, your participation here is counting for something, and if you contribute enough you'll get some form of recognition for it... the "Level 3" next to my name is one small sign of that, though that may all change soon.

Most likely our participation will simply translate into points and badges under the new system, once that's launched. My gut tells me the BB10 Jam conference will be where more details are announced (during Alec's portion of the keynote?) so stay tuned...

(Are you going? Orlando, May 1-3... it's likely not too late to register, and all vendors have received emails indicating their registration fee will be refunded. Even if you're not registered as a vendor yet it may not be too late to get in for free if you ask the right person. ;-)

I would really love to go to the BB10 Jam conference, but unfortunately, I'm not. :-( I'm still 16 and in Sri Lanka, so its a bit hard for me to go there (what with all the school word and such). But is there any way I can watch it? Live or later- maybe a live feed?

And I became a vendor recently and have published my first app :-) http://goo.gl/ZEdT6  But I didn't have to pay a free..

The keynote will be live streamed. The breakout sessions won't be, but they will be available online later. The details of that online access aren't confirmed yet. Previous conferences haven't been made available free, but it wouldn't surprise me if that changes this time.

Roshnal, when I mentioned a "fee" for vendors, I was talking about the registration fee to go to the conference in Orlando ($299). 

Just registering as a vendor for App World doesn't have a fee right now, nor any other costs except your own time and effort.  Good luck with your app!

@Peter9477 Thanks! Got some more PlayBook apps coming up..! I thought you mentioned the earlier vendor-registration fee.

Anyway, looking forward to the Jam conference-- at least I can watch it later..
