My application doesn't show in search results on BlackBerry App World.
I don't know for how long is this happening but is unacceptable.
It's a shame that you don't provide vendors a way to address app world problems directly instead I have to write on this developer forum.
Whom can I address to ?

Weird! I can't find it under 1.0.8 and under 2.0 beta too!!!
Try the following:
Click on 'Remove from sale', wait 5 minutes and then post for sale again.
Also try adding additional line to your description so the app would go through Info Change Approval procedure.

This looks like a bug in App World to me - probably to do with the new Content Ratings system
App World on the PlayBook doesn't seem to be displaying any items rated "Mature" or "Adult", only those rated as "General" or "Teen"
I wasn't able to get the apps to show in App World either by searching for them (they don't appear in the results), or navigating to the web store address in the Browser and letting App World load up that way (it just loads the front screen and does not display the App details)
To prove the point, try these in your PlayBook browser:
General/Teen apps load fine:
http://appworld.blackberry.com/webstore/content/34
Mature (your app), and for example this one, doesn't load up:
http://appworld.blackberry.com/webstore/content/78
Adult apps don't load either:
http://appworld.blackberry.com/webstore/content/23
So that does seem to be the issue - the PlayBook App World is blocking Mature/Teen apps and there doesn't seem to be a way of editing your preferences to allow them to be shown (RIM did promise when they introduced this Content Rating system that by default everyone would see every kind of app by default, but they must have forgotten about the PlayBook :-) )
You can get in touch with App World Vendor support through the following form:
https://www.blackberry.com/profile/?eventId=8109
Hope that helps
Jim

It is! :-)
jo_alterego, I forgot to mention in my post above that you could probably just downgrade the Rating to "General" or "Teen" for now? Why did you choose "Mature"?

I can't search everyday if my app is really on sale or not.
My app's rating was explicit modified as 'Mature' by App World SFM, without any kind of notice or posibility to change this and other rss readers are rated corectly.
It is happening from 01.12.2011
| Rating Level Value | App World SFM | Teen | Mature | Dec 01, 2011 10:05:06 |
This is outrageous!
So for the 2 months I'm loosing money. Great way to support developers RIM!
Thanks Jim and all of you for helping me out!
P.S.: I've sent an email to the App World Vendor Support and I'm waiting for a resolution.

Jo,
You know you can change the rating yourself in the vendor portal?
Just login
Go to "Manage Products"
Click the edit (pencil) icon for your app
You should see the "Edit Rating" button, just click that and choose the correct content types, then Submit and Save (then wait for it to be approved!)
Not meaning to teach you to suck eggs with the above, just wondered if you'd spotted it! ![]()
Good luck!
Jim
