is there an easy tutorial/guide, what to do now, to get it published?

i read something about going to the notary, to get the codes originality approved?

and otherwise? send it per email, upload it? put it on a floppy disc and mail it? Smiley Very Happy

i am from germany, if that means anny difference.

Re: app is ready, now what? :)

hey,

welcome to the forums! are you currently registered as a vendor in RIM's vendor portal? If not you should probably submit a request. it takes a few days and it involves getting notarized as a proof that you are who you say you are.

Here is the sign up page:

https://appworld.blackberry.com/isvportal/signup/signupterms.seam?pageIndex=1&cid=265922

While that is happening you should probably apply for signing keys. That will also take a few days to reach you via email. Here is the page to receive your signing keys:

https://www.blackberry.com/SignedKeys/

After all that has been done, you need to then sign your application. This is done by command line only at this point. Instructions can be found here:

http://docs.blackberry.com/en/developers/deliverables/23959/Signing_your_application_1422721_11.jsp

And while you are waiting for the first two steps to be completed (vendor sign up and keys) you should probably read the App World Guide and the Developer Guide For the AIR SDK:

App World Guide:

http://docs.blackberry.com/en/developers/deliverables/24387/index.jsp?name=Vendor+portal+-+Administr...

Developer Guide:

http://docs.blackberry.com/en/developers/deliverables/23959/index.jsp?name=Development+Guide+-+Black...

If you have any problems, search the forums here, its full of valuable information. If you can find what you need, ask away. Good luck !

Re: app is ready, now what? :)

There are several threads on this:

  • Need to register with App World via the Vendor Portal (can take a few days and paperwork is required)
  • Need  get signing keys and sign your app (credit card information required) (few hours)
  • Need to then upload and fill in new product information (descriptions; images, etc) (few hours)

Search the forum for these things and you should get all your questions answered.  Start with the registration process since that can take the most time.

i made an account a few weeks ago.

Re: app is ready, now what? :)

You probably need to enter a real name for the CN.  This information will probably be seen by the user.  Just dont have any punctuation in the name.
