can vector files be used programming with adobe air??

Im developing in ActionScript.

instead of using bitmaps I want to use vector files.

(It used to be possible in brevious bb models)

I want to use some free available tools to create vector files - like inscape

I dont want to use adobe expensive products.

how can I do it? what files i can use in air ?

Thanks!

Re: can vector files be used programming with adobe air??

By default it is not possible to parse files like svg or eps in a correct manner. there have been several attempts to load svg and eps files and translate them to usable flash vectors. maybe there are already some libraries out there. check the big G for AS3 + load svg ...
