how to capture device screen shot using camera api in Adobe air.

Draw your stage to a BitmapData, then save it to the CameraRoll:

 

var cameraRoll:CameraRoll = new CameraRoll();
var bitmapData:BitmapData = 
    new BitmapData(stage.stageWidth, stage.stageHeight);
bitmapData.draw(stage);
cameraRoll.addBitmapData(bitmapData);

 You can listen for COMPLETE and ERROR events on the CameraRoll if needed.
