Greetings!

I created a little AIR app and now I wanted to try it on my DevAlpha device.

I followed This tutorial on setting everything up. However every time I try to launch

my app the following error is displayed:

Deployment Failed: Info: Sending request: Uninstall
Info: Action: Uninstall
Info: Uninstalling testDev_rTime_debugc8af5c74...
Info: Processing 0 bytes
actual_dname::
actual_id::
actual_version::
result::failure 500 cannot determine package name

 Does anyone know how to fix this?

Do you have the XML files filled in correctly?

Well, I changed the author and authorId tags in the bar-descriptor.xml to valid values as the tutorial suggests.

In total the resulting .bar file has three XML files: DebugHostInfo.xml, bar-descriptor.xml and Appname-app.xml.

But I changed only the bar-descriptor.xml.

FYI, for those who might run into this, I find that this error comes up when you have the option "Clear application data on each launch" checked when you have not run the application on the device before.  This only happens in the new BB10 simulators and not the PB.
