file I/O, getpwd instead of $HOME?

I recall a post about using getpwd() instead of $HOME to determine sandbox path.  I can't find that post or anything about 'getpwd'.  I must have remembered slightly the wrong thing?

Re: file I/O, getpwd instead of $HOME?

By the way, it's not the case that an AIR app can't find its current directory.

View the properties of the InvokeEvent to learn more.

It is the case, however, that an AIR app on the PlayBook probably has no need to do this, as the only stuff it needs to find that way is already provided through the properties on the File object, such as File.applicationStorageDirectory.
