If you click the link in the normal way, it gets saved. Then just open it in Adobe reader.

Re: how to save pdf file on playbook device?

thx, but if is there any method that download the pdf file by click a button (not from webview), and don't let user to edit the file name?

i had try to use FileReference, but it get error:

Error #2044: Unhandled IOErrorEvent:. text=Error #2038: File I/O Error.

private function downloadFile():void{
     var url:String = "http://www.samplepdf.com/sample.pdf"
     var fileRef:FileReference;
     var urlReq:URLRequest;
     urlReq = new URLRequest(url);
     fileRef = new FileReference();
     fileRef.addEventListener(Event.COMPLETE, completedd);
}

private static function completedd(evt:Event):void {
    trace("OK LA---");
}

also

1) how to don't let user to edit the file name?

2) how to save the pdf file to share folder??
