link to and launch app world

[ Edited ]

Hi, sorry this has probably been asked many times.

How can I link to an app in the app world from my app? It keeps launching the browser rather than the app world application.

var myURL:URLRequest;

myURL = new URLRequest("https://appworld.blackberry.com/webstore/clientlaunch/123456");

navigateToURL(myURL);

(replace 123456 with my number)

 --

that link was a solution i read somwhere, but didnt work for me (with "clientlaunch" in the link). When I just link to the normal web url, it launches the browser, and then launches the app world properly. I just dont know why it launches the browser first

Re: link to and launch app world

ah here we are...

myURL = new URLRequest("appworld://content/123456");

that works, let me know if there might be some reason not to do it this way,

Thanks

Re: link to and launch app world

That's correct. Not sure this ever got documented in the AIR SDK docs, but all AIR is doing is called the libbps navigator_invoke() routine, which is documented here: https://developer.blackberry.com/native/reference/com.qnx.doc.bps.lib_ref/com.qnx.doc.bps.lib_ref/to...
