Amazing, just got the following email:

Dear App World Vendor,

Unfortunately Release '1.0' from your product 'MYAPPl' has not passed testing and therefore cannot be approved for sale through BlackBerry App World.

- issue playing video

Thank you for your understanding in this matter,

Amazing the level of detail they provide. I now have a full understanding of what isn't working for them, how to reproduce and fix it!

Unbelievable.

Ugh, that's ugly. I got a rejection from Amazon's app store a couple of days ago, but it came with steps to reproduce the problem so I could fix and re-submit. They even included the specific device that was showing the problem.

For the record, both games I posted to Playbook on 2/14 are now live.

EXACTLY! Same with the Nook store. For the record, I submitted the same app (since its the same resolution, it's really almost exactly the same app, just a different format - apk vs bar) and it passed in both stores with no issue. If it hadn't though (and I've had apps fail) they would provide you with an exact rundown of what failed, why, and how to reproduce it.

I guess RIM hired monkeys to help get through the backlog.
