Users have reported that the sound does not in the new simulator. So that's probably the same problem you are running into. A bug has been filed and we were told they are working on a fix. Hope that clears things up. Good luck!

absolutely it will be available on the device. it has worked in the previous simulators just not the newest one. it was just an oversight for the simulator. the actual device will have it already fixed and ready for use. so no doubts!

what I did is test all sound features using the previous version of the simulator, and the main development using the latest, just ignoring the problem for now. I'm pretty sure we'll still see another beta released before the device launch.
